The following materials are needed to complete the TUSCUB 2023-24 application:
- "Submit" an Online Application
- One letter of support
- Attach a written letter of recommendation on letterhead (pdf)
- UC Merced & Transfer College Unofficial transcripts
- Responses to two statement prompts:

- Personal Statement:
- Part 1: Please highlight your academic preparation and motivation; interests, specializations, and career goals; and fit for pursuing UC Merced’s Training Undergraduates in Stem Cell Engineering and Biology (TUSCEB) program? (Max 600 words, combined part 1 & 2.)
- Part 2: The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience? (Max 600 words, combined part 1 & 2.)
