Thank you for your interest in the Public Service and Leadership Certificate! To be considered a Public Service and Leadership Certificate Scholar and receive your graduation cord and certificate you must complete the following:
1. Pathways to Public Service Assessment (Must complete as first step)
2. 80 approved service hours through Catlife
3. Receive a passing grade of C or above in a Community-Engaged Course
4. A capstone project with community engagement focus (can be completed through a previous course or program while at UC Merced - e.g. YLP, SSI Internships)
You will be completing STEP 1 of the requirements for the Public Service Achievement Certificate, which is completing the Pathways to Public Service Assessment. Once you complete this step, you will be receiving a confirmation email containing the links to the other steps of the process. You do not have to turn in each step in order. You can go at your own pace and in your own order; but please make sure to complete all requirements one month prior to your graduation.
