Native Lily Salvage

Come celebrate Earth Day here on campus! The UC Merced Vernal Pools and Grassland Reserve (MVPGR) will be hosting another Stewardship Day event on Thursday morning, April 17th at the MVPGR road entrance. Help us salvage and pot native lilies before road widening construction work begins. Let’s protect and save these beautiful lily flowers together!

WHEN: Thursday, April 17th, 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM

WHERE: Meet at the Merced Vernal Pools and Grassland Reserve (MVPGR) main gate, located on the corner of Ansel Adams and Rancher’s Roads, near SSB at 10:20 AM.

UC Merced Natural Reserve System staff will give an introduction to the importance of wetlands, stewardship, and the Reserve, and participants will engage in community service via lily preservation. Participants will earn 2 CatLife hours for attending.
